THE DEPARTMENT of Information and Communications Technology established a Tech4ED Center at the Ministry of Labor and Employment’s Bangsamoro Government Center in Cotabato City.

The center aims to assist jobseekers find employment through free Internet access.

The MOLE Tech4ED Center offers different services including Technical Education and Skills Development Authority modular courses which guarantee a national certificate.

DICT Secretary Gregorio Honasan II said that the project will help Filipinos start their own business and get an education.

“Our Tech4ED program provides various upskilling activities that help Filipinos start their own businesses, get an education, and gain productive employment. It aims to continuously narrow down the digital divide in improving the delivery of our services, one vital step at a time,” he said.

Tech4Ed centers are self-sustaining, shared facilities that deliver relevant ICT-enabled services for unserved and underserved communities.
