THE DEPARTMENT of Education in Quezon Province will hold a contest or “Tagisan ng Talino” for elementary and junior high school students enrolled in Alternative Learning System.

The event is part of the Project ILAW or Innovative Learning Through Alternative Ways which aims to showcase the acquired competencies and skills of ALS learners in writing.

The competition will be conducted online on March 30.

To join, participants must be enrolled in the ALS LIS of the current year at the level that they will represent.

Each clustered district shall have four contestants: one in English and another in Filipino, for both elementary and secondary. They are entitled to one official coach, who is an ALS teacher.

The contest will cover the fundamentals of paragraph writing in both English and Filipino.

Failure to abide by the entry requirements will result in disqualification.
