THE DEPARTMENT of Education is investigating one of its personnel who threatened to stab a delivery driver after his wife supposedly received a wrong parcel.

On Monday, a video went viral showing the man harassing a motorcycle rider with scissors in hand, and warning him that he could not leave unless he gave a refund.

“The Schools Division Office of Panabo City condemns the conduct of the personnel involved,” the SDO-Panabo City said in a statement on Thursday, October 29.

However, it said that it respects the personnel’s right to due process.

“The Division assures the public that it will be taking the necessary legal action to immediately address the incident,” it added.

In a separate statement, DepEd-Panabo Spokesperson Raul Gacus said the  personnel has been directed to explain his side of the incident.

Although an agreement has been reached between the two parties, Gacus said officials will decide if an administrative sanction is called for depending on the result of the investigation.
