DEPED OPENS SDO CANLAON CITY
THE DEPARTMENT of Education has established the Schools Division of Canlaon City to provide quality education to learners.
“We are delighted that we added another member of the DepEd family — the Schools Division Office of Canlaon City. This is very vital in making sure that we are providing quality education to all learners,” Education Secretary Leonor Briones said.
Canlaon City is the seventh SDO in Negros Oriental.
Briones said that the DepEd aims to hire dedicated personnel for the new division office.
She requested nominations for the positions of Schools Division Superintendent and Assistant Schools Division Superintendent from Undersecretary for Field Operations Revsee Escobedo and Negros Oriental First District Rep. Jocelyn Limkaichong, as both positions are critical in the policymaking.
“It is imperative to put people in the office who will create policies, projects and initiatives to improve the learners’ learning experience. We want to hire people who are dedicated to public service,” she said.
The proposals will be sent to the Bureau of Human Resource and Organizational Development, Escobedo said.
