DEPED CENTRAL VISAYAS EYES FULL IMPLEMENTATION OF F2F CLASSES
THE DEPARTMENT of Education is eyeing a 100 percent implementation of face-to-face classes in Central Visayas by August, the start of the school year.
DepEd Regional Director Salustiano Jimenez said that only 9 percent of schools in the region have yet to hold physical classes.
“Around 91 percent of public schools in Central Visayas are already implementing the progressive expansion of limited face-to-face classes. However, for private schools, we are still about 35 percent,” he said.
The DepEd and the Department of the Interior and Local Government said that vaccinations and booster shots had moved to the top of their priority lists in order to speed the conduct of face-to-face classes.
Jimenez said that 98 percent of the DepEd personnel are fully vaccinated while the remaining two percent are being encouraged to have their Covid19 vaccines.
He added that the students and personnel were encouraged to get their booster shots.
