DEPED-CENTRAL LUZON READY FOR OPENING OF CLASSES

/ 26 August 2023

THE DEPARTMENT of Education office in Central Luzon is ready for the opening of classes on August 29, an official said.

The last day of enrollment for public schools will be on August 26.

“The DepEd-Central Luzon is all ready for Aug. 29 school opening,” DepEd-Central Luzon information officer Michelle Capat Lacson said.

Lacson advised the parents to raise their issues and concerns on the school opening to the Oplan Balik Eskwela-Public Assistance Command Center.

“We want to ensure that we will do our best to resolve all the issues and concerns relative to the school opening,” she said.

Even though some schools are still under water due to flooding in San Fernando, Pampanga, she said that the local government and organizations are working to find a solution in time for the start of classes.

Seven schools are underwater, most of them in Macabebe town.

“There are other schools that are still flooded. But DepEd-Pampanga, together with other education stakeholders, is taking steps to address the problem,” she added.
