CLASSES in 11 schools in Naujan, Oriental Mindoro were suspended on Monday, January 23 due to floods.

These schools were:
1. Inarawan National High School
2. Naujan Municipal High School (Main Campus)
3. Agustin Gutierrez Memorial Academy (AGMA)
4. Naujan Academy
5. San Antonio Elementary School
6. Santiago Elementary School
7. Mariano P. Leuterio Memorial School (Andres Ylagan)
8. Mabini Elementary School (Malvar)
9. Mabini Elementary School – Annex (Malvar)
10. Aurora National High School – Malvar Extension
11. Jose L. Basa Memorial School (Central)

The Naujan Public Information Office said that these schools were flooded because of the non-stop rain in the area.

Many villages were drenched by the rain triggered by the northeast monsoon or Amihan.
