THE CENTRAL Luzon Association of School Superintendents gave a special tribute to Education Secretary Leonor Briones in Bagac, Bataan in appreciation of her achievements as head of the Education department.

Regional Director May Eclar thanked Briones for standing as their “mother.”

“On behalf of the 20 SDOs of Central Luzon, accept our heartfelt and overflowing appreciation and respect to you for being the head of our Department,” she said.

“Thank you for serving as our mother who tirelessly love and care for all of her children all over the country and for the inspiration and  wisdom which you constantly give us every time you are around,” Eclar added.

Briones expressed her gratitude to the group for the recognition.

“If ever you need assistance and advice, I’d be very happy to give it. Even if I may be moved on to other concerns, but of course, DepEd will always be special. DepEd perhaps is the most defining part of my professional life,” she said.

During the program, newly promoted third level officials were sworn in.

Cultural performances were rendered by the Sining Bulakenyo Bulacan Dancer Group, Bataan National High School Teachers and SDO Bataan Performers.
