CAGAYAN STATE U PARTNERS WITH DENR

/ 14 December 2020

THE CAGAYAN State University partnered with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources to promote environmental awareness among students.

Through the pact, 15 students from different colleges were named environment ambassadors.

A report of the CSU Communicator, the official student publication of CSU Andrews Campus, said that President Urdujah Alvarado signed the agreement with DENR Region II Executive Director Gwendolyn Bambalan.

The ambassadors will inform students about “green” activities such as tree planting, mangrove reforestation, solid waste management, and conservation projects for rivers, seas, and mountains.

“With the province experiencing the palpable effects of human degradation to the environment in recent weeks, the Agreement came as a timely solution to engage the youth in promoting national environmental awareness,” Alvarado said on her Facebook page.

A similar project was also launched at the Isabela State University to engage students in promoting national awareness and natural resources and their importance for economic growth.
