THE provincial government of Benguet and the Department of Education signed a memorandum of agreement on the implementation of Healthy Learning Institution program.

The agreement signed on September 12 made Benguet the first province in the Cordillera Administrative Region to implement the HLI program.

Thirty last-mile schools were chosen to participate in the program in the province.

The Department of Health-Benguet said that the collaboration shows the commitment of both entities to instill positive and health-conscious behaviors among learners.

“The HLI is to address pressing issues within the schools, with a strong emphasis on priority areas such as mental health, immunization, and sexual and reproductive health,” it said.

HLI strengthens and supplements DepEd’s Oplan Kalusugan.
