/ 28 May 2022

AS PART of the Philippine Army’s campaign to stop the recruitment activities of Communist Terrorist Groups, troopers of the 91st Infantry Battalion conducted an Information Awareness Drive in two schools in Aurora province.

The soldiers held lectures at the Cabog Integrated School in Dingalan and the Rosauro R. Tangson National High School in San Luis on May 20, 2022.

1st Lieutenants Jevie J. Sagragao, Hamilton D. Dawaton and Zamzamyn K. Dimasidsing discussed the threats posed by CTGs.

MGen. Andrew Costelo, commander of the 7th Infantry Division, said that the Army continues to exert efforts to counter the CTG’s deceptive recruitment in schools to prevent the youth from being victimized.

“Awareness among the youth on CTG’s deceptive recruitment will save them from the dangers brought by the terrorist group that is why we have been intensifying our information campaign in schools. We would also like to extend our gratitude to the Headteachers of the schools for their active cooperation and collaboration in support of our campaign,” Costelo said.

The soldiers also distributed Enhanced Local Integration Program leaflets as well as recruitment leaflets for those who want to become a part of the Armed Forces of the Philippines.
