ANGELES CITY TO SUSPEND FACE-TO-FACE CLASSES

/ 13 October 2023

ANGELES City will suspend physical classes from October 16 to 17 because of the planned transportation strike.

The city government said that it will deploy buses to ferry city hall employees and the public.

Angeles City Mayor Carmelo Lazatin Jr. said five buses will provide free rides on the dates of the transport strike.

The free rides will be from 5 a.m. to midnight in five routes — the Cutud-Sapang Maisac boundary; Balibago-Dau; Cutcut-Porac; Sto. Domingo-San Fernando; and Mining-Malino.

Lazatin encouraged city hall employees to “carpool”.

The nationwide transport strike will be led by the group MANIBELA to protest the government’s PUV modernization program.
