ANGELES CITY SUSPENDS F2F CLASSES
ANGELES City Mayor Carmelo Lazatin Jr. cancelled face-to-face classes amid the planned transport strike next week.
Lazatin issued a memorandum suspending in-person classes from March 6 to 10.
“In anticipation of the potential halt in transportation and its subsequent effect on the commuting public, especially students attending their classes, it is necessary to suspend [in-person] classes during the nationwide transport strike,” Lazatin said.
The mayor encouraged schools to hold online classes instead.
Meanwhile, the city government will provide 10 buses to give free rides to workers during the strike.
The free ride will begin on March 6, 2023, from 5 a.m. to midnight, following five routes of 10 deployed Philippine Rabbit buses along the Cutud-Sapang Maisac boundary, Balibago-Dau boundary, Cutcut-Porac boundary, Sto. Domingo-San Fernando boundary, and Mining-Malino boundary.
