SOME 900 students in Bohol will undergo psychological first aid to alleviate the stress and trauma they suffered from the Covid19 pandemic and successive typhoons.

Among those visited by the School Division Office of Bohol were the island schools in Inabanga, one of the areas most devastated by Typhoon Odette in December last year.

It was also hit by Tropical Storm Agaton a few weeks ago.

Teacher Brenda Soriso said the calamities have greatly affected the mental and emotional state of students.

“Dahil sa mga sunod-sunod na pangyayari gaya ng Covid19 at sumunod din ang napakalakas na Odette, ito ang naging dahilan kaya nagkaroon ng psychological, emotional at mental crisis ang mga mag-aaral,” she said.

She said that the project to give psychological aid to students will be conducted in 58 districts in Bohol.
