26 SCHOOLS IN LEYTE TO HOLD F2F CLASSES
THE DEPARTMENT of Education said that at least 26 more schools in Leyte will hold limited face-to-face classes starting next week.
“We are targeting to open more schools for limited face-to-face class almost every week,” Manuel Albaño, Leyte DepEd Schools Division superintendent, said.
Albaño said five schools in Barugo, two in Tanauan, six in Palo, four in Abuyog, four in Bato, four in Mayorga, and one in Mahaplag were included in the list.
These schools are in addition to the 18 public and private schools that started physical classes on February 21, and 12 others that resumed in-person lessons last March 1.
“As of March 1, some 2,167 learners have been participating in the onsite learning out of 403,963 enrolled learners in the province,” Albaño said.
Meanwhile, the official bared that 154 schools in the province have applied for F2F class for March 21 opening.
“The province has a total of 1,355 public and private schools,” Albano said.
