THE Technical Education and Skills Development Authority is now accepting enrollees for English Proficiency for Customer Service Workers and Japanese Language and Culture – Level II under its National Language Skills Center in Taguig City.

TESDA Director General Suharto Mangudadatu encourages the public to enroll in these training programs to further strengthen their language skills and to complement their existing employability skills.

“I encourage our kababayans to consider enrolling in language training programs. Embrace the opportunity to refine your language skills, gain a global perspective, and enhance your employability,” Mangudadatu said.

Mangudadatu said that this will open greater opportunities for Filipinos here and abroad.

“In a world that is constantly evolving, where adaptability and versatility are key, it is essential for us to invest in ourselves and broaden our horizons. The ability to communicate articulately and confidently in multiple languages not only enriches your personal experiences but also allows you to connect with a diverse range of people,” he added.

The English Proficiency for Customer Service Workers course aims to train individuals to communicate using the basic English language and workplace conversational language. The course is most suitable for those holding or intend to apply for jobs such as customer service representatives, telemarketers, office front desk representatives, call center agents, and marketing agents.

The Japanese Language and Culture course is designed to help trainees to further strengthen their understanding of the Japanese culture including workplace standards, norms, and work ethics. It aims to equip trainees who intend to live and work in Japan or do administrative work in Japanese companies in the Philippines.

The training duration for English Proficiency for Customer Service Workers is 100 hours or 25 days; while for Japanese Language and Culture is 300 hours or 75 days.
