THE TAGUIG City government distributed school uniforms to students in the city.

The distribution was led by Mayor Lani Cayetano in Bagumbayan National High School.

“Magmula nung kinder kayo, hanggang sa mag elementarya kayo, nag-K-to-12 na at lahat hanggang sa grumaduate kayo ng senior high school, every step of the way, ramdam ninyo ang pagmamahal ng local government, ramdam ninyo ang TLC ng Taguig,” Cayetano said.

Students were grateful for the uniforms.

“Excited na po akong gamitin itong bagong uniform namin dahil maganda po talaga siya,” Angeli Nicole Cañaveral, a Grade 8 student from Tibagan High School in Barangay East Rembo, Taguig, said.

One student observed that the uniforms will help those coming from cash-strapped families.

“Mas napaganda pa ngayon dahil may mga taong hirap talaga financially. Dito sa Taguig maaasahan nating libre lahat mga gamit, pati uniform at sapatos. Lahat nabibigyan ng pagkakataon na makapag-aral nang maayos at komportable,” Grade 11 student Hannah Moises from BNHS said.

The distribution will continue in other public schools in Taguig until all 200,000 students receive their uniforms, the local government said.
