SM, PASAY GOV’T TO ROLL OUT TECH-VOCATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

THE CITY government of Pasay partnered with SM Prime Holdings, SM Foundation, and Don Bosco One TVET Phils. Inc. to launch a Technical Vocational Scholarship Program.

The scholarship program will provide free tuition and monthly allowance to beneficiaries for 15 months.

Scholars will have 10 months of in-campus academic learning and 5 months of on-the-job training.

“To complement the efforts of local governments to provide education for gainful employment,  SM Prime Holdings, Inc. (SM Prime) together with SM Foundation, Don Bosco One TVET Phils. Inc and the City of Pasay launched the SM – Pasay Tech-voc Scholarship Program in line with the celebration of Pasay Day,” SM said in a post.

The program offers the following courses: Automotive Servicing NCI, Electrical Installation and Maintenance NCII, Machining NCII; Mechatronics Servicing NCII, Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) NCII and Refrigeration and Air Conditioning NCII.

Applicants should be Pasay residents, 17-30 years old, have finished at least 10th grade (for graduates of the new DepEd curriculum) or high school graduate (under the old DepEd curriculum), single and with a total household income of not more than 150,000 a year.

The filing of applications will be from January 4, 2021 to February 28, 2021.

Applicants can submit application forms to the Pasay City mayor’s office.
