TWO professors from the Silliman University will participate in the prestigious 2024-2025 United Board Fellows Program.
They are dean of SU’s College of Business Administration Dr. Wilma Tejero-Libarios and Dr. Alana Leilani C. Narciso.
The program cultivates leadership among mid-career faculty and administrators across Asia, aiming to bolster whole person education and fortify academic institutions globally.
This year’s cohort includes twenty-five fellows from the Philippines, Indonesia, India, South Korea, China, Japan, Vietnam, Thailand, and Taiwan.
Dr. Tejero-Libarios, with a PhD in economics from Hannam University, South Korea, brings expertise in environmental economics, macroeconomics, and health.
Dr. Narciso, holding a PhD in English Literary Studies from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, has a strong background in literary pedagogy and creative nonfiction.
The United Board Fellows Program offers a comprehensive leadership development curriculum, including a summer institute at Singapore Management University, placements or study trips in Asia, and a concluding seminar in a major Asian city. Since 2002, it has nurtured over 320 fellows from 80 institutions across Asia.
Silliman University is a partner institution of the United Board, a New York-based nonprofit with an office in Hong Kong that supports higher education in Asia.
