SENATOR Imee Marcos filed a measure that seeks to establish a campus of the Pampanga State Agricultural University in the municipality of Floridablanca.

The senator stressed the need to put up a new campus to serve more youth in the area.

Under Senate Bill 1935, the PSAU-Floridablanca campus will undertake research and extension services in support of socio-economic development.

Marcos said that the Pampanga State Agricultural University located in Magalang town is a state agricultural institution known for its programs in the field of Research and Development, Science and Technology, Agroecology, Industrial, and Business Entrepreneurship.

The university supports the national government’s commitment that puts education as the central strategy for investing in the Filipino people, reducing poverty and building national competitiveness.

The PSAU shall ensure that the minimum requirements of the Commission on Higher Education for the establishment and operation of the PSAU-Floridablanca campus, including those related to its course offerings, are fully complied with.
