SENATOR TO PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANCE TO TOURISM STUDENTS
SENATOR Lito Lapid has promised educational assistance to deserving students at Eastern Samar State University in Borongan City.
The senator made this promise during a tourism forum with local government units, tourism officers, and tourism students at ESSU, where he expressed support for a comprehensive tourism master plan for the province.
House Minority Leader Marcelino Libanan is advocating for a tourism master plan to promote tourism, culture, and tradition across Eastern Samar and the Eastern Visayas region.
TIEZA COO Mark Lapid noted that some projects promoting tourism in the region are complete, while others are ongoing in various Eastern Samar towns and municipalities.
Many tourist spots in the province remain unexplored due to insufficient facilities, transportation, electricity, infrastructure, and accommodation.
The forum was attended by 250 participants, including tourism students, several mayors, municipal tourism officers, and municipal planning and development officers.
