PROS AND CONS OF SUSPENDING BARANGAY AND SK ELECTIONS TO BE DETERMINED – LAWMAKER
SENATOR-ELECT JV Ejercito on Saturday assured the conduct of hearings pushing for the suspension of Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections on December of this year.
Ejercito will reportedly head Senate Committee on Local Government for the 19th Congress, replacing Senator Francis Tolentino, who will be assigned to lead the Blue Ribbon Committee.
The incoming senator said maybe it would be practical to postpone the Barangay and SK Elections to have a more rigid preparations.
We will hear both pros and cons,” he added.
Earlier, the Commission on Elections said it already begun administrative and operational preparations for the Barangay and SK Elections.
