NEARLY 3,000 YOUTH BUILD AGRI-ENTERPRISES
ALMOST 3,000 young Filipinos benefitted from the Young Farmers’ Challenge program of the Department of Agriculture, wherein they were given support for their agribusiness projects.
The 2,955 participants received financial grants and business development assistance to improve their comprehension of agriculture and agribusiness management.
The project was implemented in line with the Marcos administration’s goal of ensuring food security.
The government hopes that food sustainability will be achieved through the creativity and originality of young Filipinos.
The DA’s Young Farmers Challenge was formed to help the youth realize their dream to engage in agribusiness ventures and prepare them to be the next agri-fisheries generation of leaders.
The project was supported by Senator Imee Marcos.
