LAWMAKER PUSHES FOR NEW HIGH SCHOOL IN CAMSUR
CAMARINES Sur 4th District Rep. Arnulf Bryan Fuentebella is pushing a measure that will establish a national high school in the municipality of Sagnay.
He filed House Bill 10250 which mandates the Secretary of Education to immediately include in the department’s program the operationalization of the Mabca National High School.
Once enacted into law, funding for the school shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.
Fuentebella said that there is a persistent clamor from the people, public officials, parents-teachers association and school authorities to establish a national high school in Barangay Mabca of the said municipality.
He added that the Sangguniang Bayan of Sagnay has adopted a resolution for the establishment of the school citing that Mabca National High School has already been granted a Junior High School Government Permit to cater to Grade 7 learners.
“The DepEd Regional Director had also favorably endorsed the establishment of the said school on the ground that the said school has duly complied with all requirements prescribed under the DepEd Order,” Fuentebella said in his explanatory note.
