LAWMAKER HONORS TEACHERS’ ROLE IN NATION-BUILDING
SENATOR Lito Lapid joined teachers in La Union to honor their contributions to the country.
Lapid emphasized that teachers play a pivotal role in nation-building and instilling a sense of faith in God and respect for the law in children.
Lapid noted that education is the only wealth that cannot be stolen.
He also shared his legislative efforts supporting teachers, such as proposals for salary increases and their chalk allowance.
One of his filed measures, Senate Bill No. 2423 or the Classroom Management Support and Protection for Teachers Act, seeks to institutionalize protections for teachers and school personnel in cases related to disciplining students.
Lapid concluded by saying it is essential to provide teachers with the support they need, as they form the foundation of education and the future of the nation.
The celebration provided an opportunity to express gratitude for the vital role teachers play in shaping the youth and the country.
