HELPLESS BA SI TITSER SA ‘DISTANCE CHEATING’? DEPED EXHORTS HONESTY

“Yung distance cheating that has always been a challenge even before Covid19.  And I know a significant number of schools have worked out methodologies already, for example, in calculating grades, in assessing, etc,” pahayag ni Briones sa lingguhang virtual “Handang Isip, Handa Bukas” press briefing.

“And teachers who have experience would be able to tell if a homework or a project is done by a parent or by a child or he or she and his teammates have done it themselves. Makahahalata naman ang teachers pero not only a fact na kitang-kita or halatang-halata, meron silang method which have already been developed and the DepEd they are also developing this method. May mga methods naman by which teachers are able to determine especially those who have been engaged in online or platform type of teaching and learning modalities. And the cuurriculum group are also engaged in that activity right now,” dagdag pa ng Kalihim.

Ayon naman kay DepEd Undersecretary for Curriculum and Instructions Diosdado San Antonio, inaalis na nila ang periodical exams sa kanilang proposed revised sa pag-a-assess ng mga mag-aaral.

“We’ll do written outputs and performance tasks, although pwede pa rin ang written outputs na ipagawa sa iba pero ‘yung performance tasks, yung ocassional hopefully we are suggesting the teachers will do conversation focused on the learning activities that had been carried out with the child,” paliwanag ni San Antonio.

“But other than this, I would also like to emphasize, I’ve been saying this that this is the best time for us, so we are appealing to the parents to help DepEd actually to reinforce the value of honesty,” saad ni San Antonio.
