GLOBE PREPARES TOP ACHIEVERS PRIVATE SCHOOL FOR THE NEW NORMAL OF DIGITAL LEARNING

/ 7 August 2020

WITH regular face-to-face classroom education out of the picture due to Covid19, flexible learning set-ups, and alternative modes of learning delivery have been implemented by the Philippine government as a means to continue schooling. In line with this, the partnership between Globe and Top Achievers Private School Inc. (TAPS) aims to promote and provide a digital learning platform that will be accessible to students, parents, and teachers.

The institution secured the Brightspace Learning Management System (LMS), which automates school processes such as the delivery of training courses or educational programs, tracking, reporting, and grading. In addition, the system will help teachers monitor and evaluate student’s performance while continuing education at home. Both teachers and parents also have immediate access to content and materials.

“Since 2018, Globe has been a partner of Top Achievers Private School Inc. It started with the acquisition of the School Management System which has been upgraded to include more licenses due to an increased number of enrollees. Now, TAPS also acquired licenses for Brightspace Learning Management Systems,” shares Michael Quilang, Director of TAPS.

“Thanks to this partnership, we’ve gained an advantage against other institutions that have yet to deliver and implement online education for their students. TAPS can successfully execute online learning as per the directive of the Department of Education (DepEd) and proceed with the school year as planned. Seven branches of TAPS are now automated for the new normal,” adds Quilang.

Top Achievers Private School, Inc. (TAPS) is a well known private school in Cagayan Valley. Additionally, it has the reputation of being the most futuristic school in the region. In 2014, Bayan Academy awarded TAPS the national Excellence in Educational Transformation Award (EETA) for its exceptional strategies on the delivery of quality education with the use of state-of-the-art classrooms and facilities. Currently, TAPS has seven campuses in Region 2 alone, with almost 3,000 enrollees.
