FAPSA TEACHERS WILLING TO SERVE IN 2022 POLLS

/ 2 June 2021

A group of private schools reiterated its appeal to the Commission on Elections to allow its teachers to serve in the 2022 national elections.

The Federation of Associations of Private Schools Administrators said its members have expressed interest to do poll duties.

FAPSA has 300,000 teachers from 6,000 private schools.

“The public school teachers have been Comelec’s constant partners in the discharge of the poll and, unfortunately, some of them have expressed fatigue in the conduct of their poll duties,” FAPSA President Eleazardo Kasilag said.

“Most of us are eager and very willing to experience the privilege our counterparts in the public schools have been enjoying, and we are willing to attend seminars for the purpose,” Kasilag added.

He said the Comelec can consider getting skeletal forces from the private schools from Metro Manila if it says time is not on their side.

“We can give same dedication and efficiency just like what our colleagues from the public school provide,” Kasilag said.
