THE PILOT run of face-to-face classes in the National Capital Region was smooth, the Department of Education said on Monday.
“So far, it has been smooth and we have officials of the department that are on the ground both in the central office and the regions,” Education Undersecretary Nepomuceno Malaluan said.
“We have not received any adverse report as of now,” he added.
Some 28 schools in the NCR reopened for physical classes on Monday.
“Napakahalaga nitong sa NCR dahil alam natin na ‘yung character ng NCR as highly urbanized and congested area. So very important ito,” Malaluan said.
Malaluan earlier said that the department is considering further expanding the conduct of limited face-to-face classes to include more schools.
“If the blended learning can be really proven effective…then this can be a feature towards the new normal,” he said.
