THE DEPARTMENT of Social Welfare and Development on Monday said the videos circulating on TikTok regarding educational assistance is nothing but untrue.

In this regard, the DSWD reminded the public not to believe such post that has a tutorial on how to get educational assistance from the Department.

“Huwag magpaloko sa naturang post na ito na isang tutorial kung paano umano makakakuha ng educational assistance mula sa Kagawaran,” DSWD said in a post on social media.

“Para sa kaalaman ng lahat, ang DSWD ay hindi nanghihingi ng personal information online para sa application ng ‘educational assistance’ dahil ito ay labag sa Data Privacy Act,” it added.

The DSWD encouraged the public to report the account ‘Philippine Go Today’ on TikTok to stop the account from sharing false information.

“Ito ay nagpapakalat ng mga maling impormasyon tungkol sa programa at serbisyo ng Kagawaran pati na rin ng ibang ahensiya.”
