PAMPANGA 3rd District Representative Aurelio Gonzales Jr. filed a measure that will institutionalize a digitized education system for Kindergarten to Grade 12 students in public schools.

House Bill 1684 or the proposed Digitalization of K to 12 Education in Public Schools Act of 2022 aims to digitize education materials.

“One of the major remedies to combat this pandemic is to maximize our use of high technology thru internet facilities,” Gonzales said in his explanatory note.

The measure will provide laptops to teachers, tablets to students, television sets in classrooms, SIM cards and internet connection.

The system may be used during face-to-face classes and online classes if the situation calls for it.

The bill mandates the Department of Education to institute a digitized education system by the digitization of all learning materials not limited to textbooks, modules, lectures, or other instructions and extra-curricular activities to be installed in computers, laptops, and tablets.
