DEPED TO PARENTS: PRE-REGISTER YOUR CHILDREN FOR SY 2022-2023
THE DEPARTMENT of Education urged parents to pre-register their children to avoid long lines during enrollment.
“We are calling for more and more participants na sana ang mga parents, i-enroll na nila ang kanilang mga bata para ma-avoid ang usual crowds and usual long lines, during the official enrollment time,” Education Secretary Leonor Briones said.
The DepEd chief said that there will be a bigger enrollment for the School Year 2022-2023
To date, 1,805,620 students have been added to the early registry, accounting for about a quarter of the department’s target of over 7.35 million registrants. The early registration period for entry-level students will run from March 25 to April 31.
DepEd Director Roger Masapol said that the department hopes to enroll 28,674,298 million students in Kindergarten to Grade 12 (K-12) in public and private institutions.
“Na-surpass na natin ‘yung level ng 2019, ‘yung level ng 2018, and then naka-recover na tayo sa 2020 na 26.2 lang, at na-recover natin dito sa kasalukuyan, kung idadagdag natin ‘yung ALS (Alternative Learning System) ay nasa 28 million na po tayo ngayon,” he said.
