TO HELP graduating high school students plan their careers, the Department of Education Division of Pasay City held a career orientation program for Grade 12 students.
Career advocates, life mentors and guidance counselors initiated the event in coordination with Pasay Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Loreta Torrecampo and the city government led by Mayor Emilia Calixto-Rubiano.
Among the speakers are representatives from the Public Employment Service Office, Department of Labor and Employment and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, as well as officials of various schools, colleges and universities.
The orientation that started on May 4 will continue until May 14.
The initiative is in line with the Secondary School Career Guidance and Counseling Act which mandates schools to assist students in making wise and accurate decisions regarding their chosen careers.
