DELAYED DELIVERY OF LEARNING MODULES SLAMMED

/ 27 November 2020

ACT Teachers Partylist Rep. France Castro on Thursday slammed the Department of Education for the late delivery of printed modules.

“The Department of Education is wasting the people’s money with the delayed delivery of modules in different regions,” Castro said.

“Printing modules that would not be used by pupils who need it most is definitely a waste of precious resources of the education department,” she added.

The Alliance of Concerned Teachers reported that truckloads of modules were delivered in Region I schools last week.

The materials were for week 6 but learners are now studying modules for weeks 8 to 10.

“Ipinapakita ng pagkahuli ng delivery ng DepEd ng mga modules lalo na sa mga regions kung gaano kapalpak at kung gaano kalaki ang kakulangan nito sa paghahanda para sa dumating na balik-eskwela,” Castro said.

Castro warned that if the delivery of modules will continue to be delayed, more students might drop out.
