CHED URGED TO ALLOW OTHER COURSES TO HOLD F2F CLASSES

/ 2 October 2021

STUDENTS who have been excluded from physical classes urged the Commission on Higher Education to allow more programs to hold face-to-face classes.

Students posted their pleas on CHED Chairman Prospero De Vera III’s Facebook page.

The commission initially allowed medicine and nursing students to hold face-to-face classes but later added non-medical courses such as Engineering and Technology, Hospitality/ Hotel and Restaurant Management, Tourism/ Travel Management, Marine Engineering and Marine Transportation.

Meanwhile, the Department of Education identified 100 schools in areas with low Covid risk to hold limited face-to-face classes.
