THE COMMISSION on Higher Education has given its go-signal for a new program of the Catanduanes State University.

A document posted on social media showed that CHED granted permission to the university for its Bachelor of Science in Entertainment and Multimedia Computing.

CatSU will offer two majors under the program — Digital Animation and Game Development starting Academic Year 2023-2024.

“With the gaming and animation industry continuing to flourish, CatSU aims to position itself at the forefront of innovation, fostering talented individuals who will redefine the rapidly evolving digital landscape and nurturing the next generation of animation visionaries,” the school wrote on Facebook.

“Anticipation is high as the BSEMC is expected to attract aspiring animators, game developers, and digital content creators from all corners of the province and the region,” it added.

The College of Information and Communications Technology will accept enrollees on August 7, 2023.
