EDUCATION Secretary Leonor Briones does not want schools where physical classes are being held turned into Covid19 vaccination sites.
She said that such medical activities should not be allowed to protect learners.
“Ako, sa paningin ko, ‘yung vaccination sites should be separate from where the classes are being held. We have to make sure na ‘yung level of exposure will be minimized,” Briones said during a Laging Handa briefing.
She warned that learners face the risk of infection if inoculations are held in schools.
“Sabi namin, ‘wag haluin, ‘wag i-expose ‘yung mga bata even as we are now holding face-to-face classes,” Briones said.
Physical classes have resumed in thousands of schools as the Education department expanded the coverage of face-to-face learning.
