BAR EXAMINATIONS APPLICATIONS TO START ON JANUARY 8
APPLICATIONS for the 2025 Bar Examinations will commence on January 8 through March 17, 2025.
The Supreme Court announced that new applicants, previous takers, and refresher course attendees without existing accounts on the Supreme Court’s online platform (Bar Applicant Registration System and Tech Assistance, or BARISTA) must create an individual account at https://portal.judicialry.gov.ph/ to access BARISTA.
Applicants are required to complete or update their profiles, fill out the application form, upload or re-upload digital copies of the documentary requirements, and pay the P12,800 application fee exclusively through the payment options provided in BARISTA.
According to the Supreme Court bulletin, applicants must submit the printed and signed copies of their application forms, along with physical copies of mandatory documents, to the Office of the Bar Confidant (OBC) within 10 calendar days of receiving the approval notice.
Additionally, applicants must upload digital copies and submit physical copies of any deferred documentary requirements to BARISTA and the OBC, respectively, between June 16 and October 14.
New applicants who failed to complete their law degree, as well as refresher course attendees who did not finish their refresher or pre-Bar review courses, may request a refund of the application fee on or before September 1.
The 2025 Bar exams, chaired by Associate Justice Amy Lazaro-Javier, will be held on September 7, 10, and 14.
