ANOTHER BATCH OF STUDENTS RECEIVE ASSISTANCE UNDER ISIP PROGRAM

/ 7 September 2024

ANOTHER batch of 3,000 students was assisted with the Integrated Scholarships and Incentives Program for the Youth or ISIP in Davao City.

Aside from assistance under the ISIP program, House Speaker Martin Romualdez led the distribution ceremonies for the Cash Assistance and Rice Distribution and the Start-Up, Investments, Business Opportunities, and Livelihood programs.

For ISIP for the Youth, a total of 3,000 student-beneficiaries received cash assistance in the amount of P5,000 each from the AKAP of DSWD and 5 kilograms of rice in a distribution event held at the University of Southeastern Philippines.

Upon the directive of President Marcos, ISIP is another initiative of Speaker Romualdez in collaboration with various government agencies, to assist deserving students — tertiary and vocational — facing financial challenges in pursuing quality education.

Aside from the cash aid, identified student beneficiaries will be enrolled under CHED’s Tulong Dunong Program where students can get scholarship assistance per year amounting to a total of P15,000, and priority slots under the Government Internship Program.

Their unemployed parents or guardians may also be enrolled in the DOLE-TUPAD Program.

“We believe that these financial assistance programs are an investment.
