/ 15 June 2026

SENATOR Christopher “Bong” Go urged the pioneering graduates of AVS Aeroviation School of Mindanao Inc. to strive for excellence, remain humble, and use their education to serve others and contribute to nation-building during the school’s first graduation rites held in Davao City.

Speaking before graduates, parents, faculty members, and school officials at the SMX Convention Center in Lanang, Go described the event as a historic milestone for both the graduating class and the institution.

“It is an honor to join you today as you celebrate your 1st Graduation Rites. This is a historic milestone not only for the graduates but also for the entire AVS Aeroviation School of Mindanao community,” Go said.

AVS Aeroviation School of Mindanao offers a two-year aviation-related program under the supervision of the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines.

Addressing the graduates, Go commended their hard work, discipline, and perseverance, saying their success was the result of overcoming challenges and sacrifices with the support of their families, teachers, and loved ones.

The senator reminded the graduates that commencement marks not the end of their academic journey but the beginning of new opportunities and responsibilities.

“As you begin a new chapter in your lives, I encourage you to continue striving for excellence. Keep learning, stay humble, and never lose sight of your dreams,” he said.

“Success is not only about personal achievement but also about how you use your talents and skills to serve others and contribute to our nation’s progress.”

Go also reiterated his commitment to advancing policies that strengthen the country’s education system while promoting student welfare.

“We must remember that success is not only measured by academic achievement. Mental health and overall well-being matter as well,” he said.

The senator likewise recognized the contributions of School President Ronald Uyanguren, as well as the faculty and staff of AVS Aeroviation School of Mindanao, for guiding and mentoring the institution’s pioneer graduates.

He reserved special praise for the parents and families of the graduates, thanking them for their sacrifices, encouragement, and unwavering support throughout their children’s educational journey.

In closing, Go encouraged the graduates to take pride in their achievements while continuing to prepare for future opportunities and challenges.

“Be proud of what you have accomplished today. But remember that this is not the end of your journey—it is only the beginning,” he said.

“Continue to work hard, believe in yourselves, and embrace every opportunity that comes your way.”

Go concluded by congratulating the graduating class and expressing confidence in their future success.

“May you continue to soar to greater heights and achieve success in all your future endeavors,” he said.
