A TOTAL of 9,702 students enrolled in the Philippine Science High School System for School Year 2021-2022, the Department of Science and Technology said.

DOST Secretary Fortunato De la Peña said that the 16 campuses of PSHS will continue to use the Learning Management System called “KHUB” until December 2021.

“Printed learning materials are also made available for those who opt to choose the printed instructional materials due to lack of reliable internet connectivity in their family,” De La Peña added.

PSHS Executive Director Executive Director Lilia Habacon earlier said that Science schools are ready to conduct limited physical classes.

Habacon said that measures are in place to ensure the safety of students and teachers.

“We have been preparing our classrooms, our physical facilities for possible face-to-face classes. So that physical distancing can be achieved, we also have installed several preventive measures such as hand-washing, toilets, the comfort rooms, the entrance and all other preventive measures that are suggested by the DOH and IATF,” Habacon said.

She added that the school hopes to resume physical classes once the situation allows it.
