3,184 PASS LICENSURE EXAMS FOR MECHANICAL ENGINEERS
THE PROFESSIONAL Regulation Commission said that 3,184 out of 5,880 examinees passed the licensure examination for mechanical engineers.
Franz Joshua Geronimo Pingol of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines topped the exam with a rating of 96.60 percent.
Jasper Berlon Mijares from the Rizal Technological University and Francis Gregory Laog Ng of De La Salle University placed second with 94.40 percent, followed by Ian Harvey Rama Mendoza, also from PUP, with 93.35.
The top performing schools with 40 or more examinees with at least 80 percent passing percentage are the Batangas State University-Alangilan (94.19); DLSU (89.58); Central Mindanao University (86.96); and Mindanao University of Science and Technology-Cagayan de Oro (83.33).
Meanwhile, 140 out of the 174 examinees also passed the Certified Plant Mechanic Licensure Examination.
Kent Yves Mandrique Villayamor of the National University topped the test for CPLME with 89.95.
PUP was the lone top performing school with 73 out of 74 or 98.65% of its takes passing the exam.
The exams were given by three members of Board of Mechanical Engineering, including chairman Engr. Leandro Conti, PRC said.
