JACK ANIMAM CONTINUES ONSLAUGHT, SHU TIGERS DOMINATES SUST WITH 135-POINTS DECIMATION

After a dominating win against Taiwan University, Jack Animam continues her impressive onslaught as she powers Shih Hsin University (SHU) to another emphatic victory.

SHU tallied a whopping 135-20 victory against Southeast University of Science and Technology (SUST) in the 2020 University Basketball Alliance tournament, Tuesday at the Taiwan University of Science and Technology Gym.

The 21-year-old Animam who scored 18 points, 6 steals, 5 rebounds, and 3 blocks during their match over Taiwan U on Monday had 19 points on 9-of-12 shooting from the field, 14 rebounds, and 2 blocks in the contest against SUST.

The Malolos, Bulacan native is just one of eight Tigers who scored double-figures in the second lopsided affair, helping the Shih Hsin secure the consecutive win.

Meanwhile, Senior guard Lin Die finished with 19 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 steals, while rookie Li Yinchen had 16 points off the bench. 

Another Tiger, Chen Yuti contributed 15 points, 5 assists, and 2 steals.

Also putting up twin-digit efforts were Wu Mengqiao with 13 points; Li Yingjie with 12 markers; and Xu Wenxuan and Lin Yuanhua with 10 apiece.

Moreover, every Tiger scored in the contest as SHU shot a blistering 62.3-percent from the field.

Unfortunately for SUST, it was not just an offensive showcase as SHU limited them to single-digits in all four quarters—including a two-point opening frame.

SHU had 24 steals and out-rebounded their opponents, 49-12.

SUST, who shot just 6-of-30 from the field, had no players score above five points.

Animam and the Tigers will be facing on Wednesday their first true test of the season in a match over Taiwan University of Science and Technology.
