/ 16 August 2024

THE MANILA Police District League, in coordination with Mayor Yul Servo, distributed Brigada Eskwela Kits to 106 public schools in the city.

The Bayanihan para sa Matatag na Paaralan program aims to help public schools in maintaining the cleanliness in their areas.

Each of the city’s 106 public primary and secondary schools accepted a Brigada Eskwela Kit which contains three walis tingting, three walis tambo, three dustpans, a water storage drum, a dipper, mop, 50 bottles of water, two school bags and a pair of leather shoes.

The MPDL, a basketball and volleyball league spearheaded by the Office of the Vice Mayor and the Manila Police District, was established in 2023, to promote collaboration, communication, and teamwork among the employees of the MPD.

The city government said the league is also a great way to enhance and promote the physical health of policemen, as their physical bodies play an important role in their daily responsibilities as public servants who secure peace and order.

“Overall, this league serves as one of the activities in the Manila Police District that paved the way to increase their productivity in implementing the laws of the land,” the MPDL said.

“This all started with the hope and aspiration that we can empower our policemen and women as we keep them healthier through sports. We, the organizers, and the supportive sponsors of MPDL, are now paying it forward, for the benefit of the Manileño students who will be the future leaders and lingkod bayan of our beloved city,” the MPDL added.
