TEN public schools in Parañaque City will participate in the expanded phase of limited face-to-face classes, Mayor Edwin Olivarez said.
The “Hylearn Learning” under which physical classes will be held was launched at the Parañaque National High School main campus last February 14.
Olivarez said that the Arcadio National High School and Baclaran National High School also reopened their facilities last week.
“Teaching and non-teaching personnel involved in the limited F2F classes must be vaccinated against Covid19 to ensure the learners’ safety,” he said.
Only students who were able to secure their parents’ consent and have no comorbidities were allowed to join in-person classes.
In December 2021, the Don Galo Elementary School and La Huerta Elementary School conducted limited face-to-face classes but this was temporarily stopped because of the surge in Covid19 cases.
“A meeting with Parañaque City Schools Division superintendent Dr. Evangeline P. Ladines and the City Health Office under Dr. Olga Vistusio was held before deciding on the resumption of classes for the two elementary schools,” Olivarez said.
