PERSONNEL of the San Beda University endorsed the tandem of Vice President Maria Leonor ‘Leni’ Robredo and Senator Francis ‘Kiko’ Pangilinan for the May elections.

Over 300 past and present educators, non-teaching employees and service personnel from San Beda campuses in Mendiola, Alabang and Tanay threw their support behind the candidacy of Robredo and Pangilinan citing their character, platforms and track records.

“Their standing records of good governance and exemplary public service moved us to support leaders who have a strong sense of transformative and ethical leadership, accountability, transparency, and integrity which we need in these trying times,” they said.

“As one community, we join the Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines’ call with the countless voices of Filipino citizens, in protecting our democratic institutions guided by our shared values and moral compass,” they added.

“To stand idle in the face of the threats to our democratic institutions and values is an injustice to what Bedan education is all about. This remains true today – stronger than ever – as we fully commit ourselves to answering the clarion call for the next six years and beyond,” they added.

Last week, academicians from the Ateneo de Manila University, University of Santo Tomas and La Sallian schools expressed their support for Robredo and Pangilinan.
