THE CENTRAL Philippines University Board of Trustees officially endorsed the presidential candidacy of Vice President Leni Robredo.

In a statement, the board said it chose Robredo because of her unquestionable integrity.

“Thus, as Trustees of this honorable institution, we cannot remain silent in these critical times, and it has become incumbent upon us to make our position known in accordance with the values for which the University stands for,” the BOT said.

“That among the candidates, we believe that the values espoused by the University of Faith, Character, Justice, Stewardship, and Excellence are best manifested by [Robredo] and for that reason we support and endorse her candidacy as the next President,” it added.

Other universities and colleges and their officials have also aired their support for Robredo, including San Beda University, Universidad de Santa Isabel, Adamson University, among others.

The tandem of Robredo and vice presidential candidate Sen. Francis ‘Kiko’ Pangilinan has topped university surveys across the country.
