XAVIER University-Ateneo de Cagayan was recognized in the recent Cagayan de Oro Education Summit for actualizing “Cura Personalis” or the care and concern for each person.

XU was one the nine awardees recognized by the CDO’s local school board.

The “Kurambos: 2021 CDO Education Summit” was conducted virtually and was attended by various stakeholders, including students, parents, teachers, barangay officials and civic partners.

Fr. Mars P. Tan, SJ, university president, received the Plaque of Appreciation that recognized and celebrated Xavier Ateneo’s education initiatives and milestones.

Despite the pandemic, XU and schools, as well as the city, its partners and stakeholders, remain dedicated to developing measures that will improve the quality of education in the city.

The goal of the summit is to assess the education status in the city amid the new normal and to acknowledge the contribution of the city’s education partners in the advancement of quality, accessibility, and resiliency of education.
