THE UNIVERSITY of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines has confirmed the passing of one of its students.

Kisseah Claire Enclonar, 19, was reportedly killed by her neighbor in her house in Balulang, Cagayan de Oro last March 29, 2023.

The suspect is on the run.

“It is with extreme sadness to inform the academic community of USTP the death under tragic circumstances, of Kisseah Claire N. Enclonar, a promising, devoted and intelligent First Year Civil Engineering student of the College of Engineering and Architecture of USTP Cagayan de Oro Campus. She was just nineteen years old. She died defending her honor,” USTP said.

“In this time of great sorrow, we are asking the whole USTP community for your prayers for the eternal repose of her soul, may your sympathy provide solace to the bereavement of Kisseah’s mother and father, brother and her relatives, her classmates and relatives, and may justice be served upon for her untimely passing,” it added.

The university vowed to offer assistance to the victim’s family.
