UST STUDENTS WIN BRONZE MEDALS IN PH CULINARY CUP
CULINARY Entrepreneurship students of the University of Santo Tomas won bronze medals in the Philippine Culinary Cup of the World Food Expo 2023.
They are Ma. Sophia Lorenz Aga, Daniel Dalipe and Adrian Zapata.
Aga presented a Kapampangan-inspired cake named “Kaku ka, keka ku” (I am Yours, You are Mine) in the Wedding Cake Display Category.
Reinald Andaya and Kristian Kristoffer Roque served as her coach, while Mikee Dimaano, Rod Villamarin, Patricia Penoliar, and Chandelle Silvestre assisted the team.
Meanwhile, Dalipe and Zapata prepared two dishes in the Young Chefs Category.
Other UST students and academic staff also competed in the French Touch Pastry Category, Bread Showpiece Category, and Global Chef Challenge – Pastry Category.
Ramona Olga D. Ko of the Department of Hospitality Management, supervised the delegation from the UST College of Tourism and Hospitality Management.
The Philippine Culinary Cup has become the most prestigious culinary competition in the Philippines.
It takes on an even bigger role in providing Filipino chefs an internationally-recognized platform to hone their skills and showcase their talents.
